Overview
Injoy is a health app that gathers users' information and provides customized support for gut health backed by doctors and research.
Findings
Given that more than 40% of patients selected Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and its strong connection to brain functionality. I use that as the basis for features to design:
- Gut-brain tracking
- Stress management
- Symptom tracking
- Lifestyle adjustments
Problem and Solution
Traditional medicine lacks the immediate support, access, and detail that a platform designed for specific use cases like gut health can provide. Detailed onboarding was a crucial part of the app's flow, as it allowed users to get a complete picture of their current health data, track their health over time, and provide valuable suggestions.
Challenges
The main challenge of the Injoy Gut Health Tracker project was turning complex health information into something simple and easy for users to understand. Many people were not familiar with medical terms or how their symptoms, diet, and habits connected to their gut health, which made it harder for them to interpret the app’s insights.
Another challenge was the onboarding process. The app needed to collect detailed health information to give personalized recommendations, but asking too many questions could make users lose interest or abandon the setup.
The goal was to design a clear and guided experience that made it easy for users to enter their health information, understand their results, and stay engaged in tracking their gut health over time.
Final Flows
The first step to onboarding process for a user's to share their goal and current gut health.
The following step is about user's to learn about the different tools in the Injoy app for enhancing gut health. The first part of this process involves gathering general user information.
Finally, user will learn about medication or supplement intake as such substances may impact gut health.
